Consulting for industry involves the application of Hearing Science, Audiology and Electrical Engineering to the functional design and testing of devices for the normal or impaired ear. This includes research on speech processing to improve intelligibility in various environments; design, selection and fitting of hearing aids; and field trials of new designs.  Past work included advice on launching a new hearing aid development project, programming module design, debugging of new hardware, as well as specifics such as contact bounce in a switch and the chance of ear injury from a toy.
